This package implements HTTP Digest Authentication.

It can generate HTTP response headers to require that the user authenticates to access the current site, so the credentials are sent to the server using the HTTP digest method.

The package can process the access that comes with the HTTP digest authentication requests, so applications can validate the user credentials against a given user and password or a database of valid users and the respective passwords specified in a configuration file.
